SCAB ROW

The Slab hut was originally built for accommodating strike breakers imported to the region, to break a coal miners strike - hence the name: SCAB ROW.

We purchased the property with the hut in very dilapidated condition. As part of this project, we will illustrate that economic reuse of even such a minor building as this, is possible and perhaps more importantly, results in a very enjoyable and innovative built environment. We will have this portion of the buildings provide the main Client focus of our business with our Reception, Meeting and Exhibition spaces.

OFFICES

Immediately beyond the hut will be a light-weight single storey office space. We have devised the layout to optimise flexibility of layout and minimise costs and services.

RESIDENCE

As an opportunity to design our "own thing" we will develop a two storey residence. The design reflects terrace house proportions, has an upper floor Verandah, computer desk nook and curved walls and decorations. Since the environment is nominally "commercial" outlook will be provided to small scale courtyards.
